Love Thy Neighbor...

Literally. God asks us to love our neighbor. Right now...if I can be totally honest...loving my neighbor has been a challenge. We are constantly seeing our neighbor doing the following: driving in our grass, being nosy and unfriendly, loud and rowdy at night, drinking their forty ounce on the front porch, looking at us suspiciously and rarely responding to our 'hello's and how are you doing'....and that.... makes it quite difficult to, 'love my neighbor'.

Let's be honest. It would be MORE than difficult to be kind to people who choose to be inconsiderate....everyday. I honestly have to pray about it on a regular basis. Then, while thinking about this post...I came across this. It got me to thinking...I spend all of this energy being frustrated with my neighbor....this line caught my heart the most, " If all you do is love the lovable, do you expect a bonus? Anybody can do that. If you simply say hello to those who greet you, do you expect a medal? Any run-of-the-mill sinner does that.' (Matthew 5:44, the Message).

I guess that says it all.
