Proverbs 18:21

After I did the post-editing work to this photo, I was trying to think of a clever quote or scripture about the power of our words. (p.s. I know this photo is kind of creepy to some....via my Mom...but it's for illustration purposes....promise)

It's true. Words are powerful. Words can tear down, words can build up, words can break chains, words can add baggage. They are so powerful. So what's our choice?

I often find myself reading scripture in the word at just the time I need to be corrected, challenged or encouraged. The right thing at the right time is something that the Lord is readily applying to our lives.

One verse that just popped into my head about that picture and your thoughts..."Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth...keep the door of my lips"
That verse has been one of my life verses as I've needed my mouth guarded time and time again!

hey candice, my name is lauren hogan. i am a friend of jessi connolly's. i started reading your blog way back when she had a link to you on her page. anyway, i wanted to stop "lurking" around and reading your blog, without saying hey. so hey, and also i have a question for you. (i feel like this is so weird, and wayy stalker-y, but i'm laying down my pride here).

i found a puppy, and i can't keep her, and i am literally distraught over finding her a good home. i was about to go to sleep last night, and i was praying about a home for her, and for some reason, God brought you to my mind.

anyway, as out of the blue as this is, would you guys be interested?
